Splunk Developer and Administrator Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Splunk installations to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Design and implement data visualizations, reports, and alerts using Splunk's robust features.
  • Analyze system issues by leveraging Splunk's logging and monitoring capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with Unix/Linux, Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, Java, Change Control Systems (GIT, SVN), and Ticketing/Task tools like Remedy and Jira.

A successful candidate will collaborate closely with our team to deliver seamless monitoring and reporting operations.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Splunk Developer/Administrator. This role involves ensuring the efficient configuration, deployment, and management of Splunk installations across various environments. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing and implementing dashboards, reports, and alerts that provide valuable insights into system performance and data trends.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Splunk's core features, including its logging, monitoring, and visualization capabilities. Experience with Unix/Linux, Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, Java, Change Control Systems (GIT, SVN), and Ticketing/Task tools like Remedy and Jira is also essential.

  • 5+ years of experience in Splunk development and administration
  • In-depth knowledge of Splunk's core features, including logging, monitoring, and visualization
