Job Title: Tools & Process Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Tools & Process Design Engineer to join our team at National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NBC Bearings). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing tools and processes for our bearing manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop tools and processes for bearing manufacturing, including DFMEA, QFD, GD&T, and APQP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of new tools and processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and process procedures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve process efficiency and quality.
  • Work with suppliers to source materials and equipment, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs for operators and maintenance personnel to ensure effective use of new tools and processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in tools and process design, preferably in a bearing manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, including Creo and Autocad.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in manufacturing facility creation and management.
  • Knowledge of bearing manufacturing processes, including grinding, assembly, and heat treatment.
  • Understanding of bearing application and life analysis.
  • Experience working with customers and suppliers, including program management and RFQ handling.
