Job Title: Fashion Merchandiser

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research to identify upcoming fashion trends and seasonal demands within the Indian ethnic wear segment.
  • Develop and plan new collections that align with our brand's vision and target customer.
  • Oversee the entire product development process, including fabric sourcing, trim selection, and sample coordination.
  • Analyse sales data and inventory levels to forecast future demand and ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
  • Develop pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness with profitability.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience as a Fashion Merchandiser, with significant exposure to Indian ethnic wear.
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in using merchandising software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
