Backend Engineer for Conversational AI Company

A leading conversational AI company is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join its elite team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling infrastructure in production, with a strong background in Python (Django experience a plus), cloud skills (AWS or GCP), and Kubernetes/Docker.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable, production-ready backend systems that power the company's AI customer service agents.
  • Collaborate directly with founders and the founding engineer to influence architecture and direction.
  • Deploy and manage systems on AWS or GCP with a focus on speed and reliability.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with deep Python expertise (Django a plus).
  • Strong cloud skills (AWS or GCP), with familiarity in Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling infrastructure in production.
  • CS degree or equivalent professional foundation.
  • Bonus: experience in high-velocity, high-ownership teams (startups, top-tier tech, or quant firms).
