Senior Software Engineering Lead

Our team seeks a seasoned software engineering leader to drive the development of large-scale distributed systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant services.

This role requires strong leadership skills to guide technical architecture and design, advocating for technology investments and ensuring high-quality, secure, and observable solutions.

  • Participate in design reviews, provide regular feedback, and drive continuous improvement by enhancing architectural standards and best practices.
  • Build proof-of-concepts to validate approaches and assess emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize engineering initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and architecture diagrams.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of technical engineering leadership experience, with 5 to 10+ years of experience in large-scale distributed system development.
  • Experience driving engineering best practices for high-functioning software engineering teams through effective use of tools and automation.
  • Passion and expertise for building large-scale, back-end services and APIs, using modern architectures (Macro / Mini / Micro Services).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of data structures, asynchronous architectures, and distributed algorithms.
  • A strong understanding of software engineering principles and modern infrastructure operations.

Desired Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred): EC2, S3, Lambda, EFS, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, VPC.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern UI frameworks: React.js, Angular.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, YAML, PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI technologies, including LLM fine-tuning, RAG architecture implementation, and prompt engineering.
  • Relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with observability tools: Splunk, ELK Stack, DataDog.
  • Strong understanding of testing strategies: Unit Testing, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD).
