We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Rebar Estimator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating the required quantities of rebar for construction projects based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Calculate the required quantities of rebar for construction projects based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction plans, identifying the exact amount of rebar needed for each phase of the project
  • Develop cost estimates for rebar materials, including labor, transportation, and handling, and prepare detailed pricing for bidding purposes
  • Analyze and interpret construction plans and structural drawings to determine the size, type, and quantities of rebar required
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure the accuracy of estimates and the successful implementation of the rebar requirements
  • Develop rebar schedules that detail the sizes, lengths, and quantities of bars needed, ensuring alignment with project timelines
  • Acknowledge changes or variations in project scope and adjust cost and material estimates accordingly
  • Utilize estimating software (e.g., ASA Software, Excel) to input and analyze data and generate accurate reports
