Job Title: Data and Business Analyst

We are seeking a meticulous Data and Business Analyst to join our team. To excel in this role, you need exceptional attention to detail, experience as a data analyst, and thorough understanding of popular data analysis tools and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master Data Management: Create, update, and delete master data sets while ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • User Role Management: Effectively manage user roles and permissions within the organization.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on imported data and collaborate with QA analysts if necessary.
  • Project Commissioning and Decommissioning: Plan and execute commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
  • Confidential Data Processing: Process confidential data in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Reporting Development: Assist in developing reports and analyses that meet business requirements.
  • Reporting Environment Design: Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Data Warehouse Support: Collaborate with the data warehouse team to identify and revise reporting requirements.
  • Data Integrity Initiatives: Contribute to initiatives for data normalization and integrity.
  • Test Implementation: Assess tests, implement new software, and assist with strategic decisions on system upgrades.
  • Report Generation: Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
  • Reporting Database Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues within the reporting database environment.
  • Change Evaluation: Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
  • End-User Training: Provide training to end-users on new reports and dashboards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science from an accredited university or college.
  • Relevant work experience as a Data or Business Analyst or in a related field.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Tool Analysis: Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide recommendations for software solutions.
  • Business Requirements Translation: Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, lay terms.
  • Databases and Processes: High-level understanding of methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
  • Data Handling: Demonstrated experience handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Addressing Standards: Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
  • Communication Skills: High-level written and verbal communication skills.
