Job Title:

  • Platform Engineer

Role Overview:

As a skilled Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a robust and scalable internal Kubernetes/Container platform that supports the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a robust, scalable, and secure internal Kubernetes/Container platform.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and documentation to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Monitor system metrics, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources to ensure platform stability and performance.
  • Implement observability solutions to gain valuable insights into platform performance and application behavior.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Kubernetes, containerization, and observability.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 7+ years of experience in OpenShift Engineering, including some public cloud experience.
  • Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, or a similar role.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts, and components, with hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
  • End-to-end implementation of the Kubernetes architecture - installation, configuration, hardening, networking, etc.
  • Proficiency in a procedural or scripting programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  • Experience with automation tools, such as Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of security and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with observability best practices and tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
