Job Overview:

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site activities to ensure the execution of work according to drawings, specifications, quality, and safety standards.

  • Site Supervision: Monitor and manage daily site activities to guarantee that all work is executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Coordination: Collaborate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, laborers, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently monitor and manage resources such as manpower, materials, and machinery to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Milestone Management: Ensure timely completion of project milestones as per the agreed-upon schedule.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records including daily progress reports, material usage, and work measurement.
  • Assistance: Provide support in preparing bar bending schedules, measurement sheets, and work bills as required.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks for concrete, steel, shuttering, finishing works, etc., to guarantee compliance with quality standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to IS codes, company standards, and safety norms at all times.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve site-related technical issues in coordination with project managers and consultants.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication among project team members, clients, and management through clear and concise information exchange.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Possess strong understanding of construction methods and standards
  • Drawings and Specifications: Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and project planning tools (desired)
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrate good leadership and teamwork skills
  • Problem-Solving: Possess problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Location Flexibility: Willingness to work at project sites across Tamil Nadu

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering related to site design, land development, and land use permitting
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills, and design skills
