Job Opportunity: Guitar Educator

We are seeking a skilled guitar educator to provide engaging and fun lessons for children aged 4-14 online.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach guitar lessons to students in a way that fosters creativity and passion for music.
  • Ensure students enjoy the course and reach their goals by providing personalized feedback and support.
  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to improve their skills through positive reinforcement and constructive criticism.
  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement by analyzing progress and identifying areas of growth.
  • Conduct demo sessions with students to showcase their abilities and enhance their learning experience.
  • Provide a supportive and creative environment for learning where students feel comfortable and motivated to grow.

Requirements:

  • Formal education in Music (Guitar) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, sheet music, and relevant teaching methods.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in guitar instruction and pedagogy.
  • Experience in teaching guitar online or in-person.
  • Relevant teaching experience (1+ years) with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance the learning experience would be an asset.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have experience in online teaching and adaptability to different learning styles.
  • Must have access to a reliable laptop/desktop and strong internet services.
  • Must be comfortable teaching children and working in a dynamic online environment.
  • Should be available for teaching 6 days a week and willing to adapt to changing schedules as needed.
  • Ability to engage students in learning and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for making learning fun and accessible for all students.
  • Should be comfortable with music notation and sight reading.
  • Must be proficient in music theory and its application in guitar instruction.
