Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced specialist with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure while maintaining reliability and performance. This role bridges the gap between engineering, finance, and operations, ensuring efficient cloud usage and financial accountability across Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Azure infrastructure performance and usage across environments.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate cost-efficiency into reliability engineering practices.
  • Implement automation and observability tools to track cost and reliability metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Azure cloud spend and usage patterns to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Manage reserved instances, savings plans, and virtual machine sizing.
  • Develop and enforce cost allocation models and chargeback mechanisms.
  • Use Azure Cost Management and other tools to generate actionable insights.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to visualize cloud costs and trends.
  • Present analysis to stakeholders in simple, understandable terms.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards related to cloud spend and performance.

Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between teams.
  • Translate technical requirements into financial implications and vice versa.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to promote best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Portal, Azure Cost Management, and cloud-native services.
  • Familiarity with SRE tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and cloud cost management platforms.

Financial & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of Azure pricing models and variable spend frameworks.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to build and interpret BI dashboards.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to projects.

Preferred Certifications

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or higher
  • SRE or DevOps certifications
