As a global healthcare leader, we are seeking a skilled medical coder to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will have expertise in coding medical records, ensuring compliance with quality standards and relevant policies. They should also be proficient in using Microsoft Excel to analyze and present data effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coding medical records to billable Revenue Code, CPT, Modifiers, Diagnosis code, and other relevant requirements.
- Reviewing all documentation for compliance and quality assurance.
- Preparing and providing information to stakeholders based on their expectations.
- Identifying and recommending improvements to documentations workflows and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilizing specialized knowledge of Microsoft Excel to perform daily inputs, build functions, sort, and filter large amounts of data.
- Adhering to all company and department policies regarding security and confidentiality.
The ideal candidate should have experience in Hospital Billing and Denial Management. They should be able to lead and own the development of any technical deliverables assigned to them, delivering high-quality and innovative solutions for our clients. Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and team collaboration are essential.
Requirements:
- Graduation/BSc in life sciences – preferably clinical areas like Nursing, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, Clinical Biotech, Microbiology, etc.
- AAPC or AHIMA coding certifications required for all candidates.
- 5-7 years of experience in Surgery, Behavioral Health, GI, Radiology, Anesthesia, Procedural.
- Exposure to multi-specialty and handled Hospital & Provider Coding.
- Currently in an Auditor role and have exposure to reports related to quality.
Preferred working knowledge in Epic and 3 M 360, having exposure to General and Cardiovascular Surgery coding, multiple specialty, and claims edits. The ideal candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, able to multitask, and possess good organizational skills, strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and energy with minimal supervision. Highly developed oral and written communication skills are also essential.
