Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our Building Services team at Arup. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services designs, supervising junior engineers, and managing the timely delivery of designs to agreed cost constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams to prepare accurate and complete designs and drawings.
  • Develop innovative designs and present initial concepts in sketch form, incorporating input data from gathered information and laying out GLRS & LLRS in schematic design stage.
  • Prepare drawings & schedules using Indian and International codes, working closely with technicians on CAD and REVIT drawings.
  • Keep senior staff informed of important design decisions to ensure the objectives of the company and client are achieved.
  • Represent Arup at meetings with clients, other professionals, and suppliers, and provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Perform site checking and inspection as per design drawings and calculations.

Requirements

  • Experience with analysis and design of structures utilizing structural analysis & design software like ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RCDC, with experience in CAD and REVIT software.
  • Relevant degree and heading for professionally qualification (chartered) and aspiring to registration (Master's Degree in Structural Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
  • Knowledge of computational programming in Excel, VBA, and basic knowledge of Rhino and GH.
  • Strong desire to develop new designs/technology and demonstrate strong design ability and engineering skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Site inspection knowledge and experience an added advantage.
