Economic Analyst

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced economic analyst to support our manufacturing department in research, data analysis, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will conduct surveys, collect and analyze data using analytical models and statistical techniques, present research results in reports, tables, and charts, interpret and forecast market trends, advise businesses, governments, and individuals on economic topics, recommend solutions to economic problems, and write articles for academic journals and other media.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement research agendas and report concepts, with a minimum of one detailed report per year.
  • Engage with ministries, universities, think tanks, and other agencies in research assignments, resulting in at least one co-authored report/publication with government/academia.
  • Identify research topics and initiatives through collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Prepare discussion points and talking points for meetings and discussion forums, providing relevant content and points for effective delivery.
  • Make relevant presentations in various forums and deliver crisp presentations during committee/council/government meetings.
  • Interpret issues raised by stakeholders and recommend solutions to those issues.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Economics from a leading university (India or abroad).
  • Thought leadership and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent domain knowledge and understanding.
  • Conceptualization and consultative skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
