Expert Certification Exam Developer Sought

We are searching for an accomplished certification exam development professional to lead the creation, development, and maintenance of high-quality exams that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full lifecycle of certification exam development for various domains, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with product development engineering teams, consultants, partners, and subject matter experts to deliver impactful certification projects from inception to completion.
  • Define the scope and intent of exams tailored to specific job roles and target audiences.
  • Conduct job task analysis, design exam blueprints, manage item banks, and perform psychometric analysis to ensure exam quality.
  • Facilitate item review workshops and training sessions for subject matter experts and item writers.
  • Provide guidance on exam writing best practices and style guidelines.
  • Analyze statistical data and review items to enhance exam quality.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Experience in conducting job task analysis and facilitating item writing workshops.
  • Strong knowledge of certification development models and standards.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Understanding of creating value for candidates in exams.
  • Professionalism to defend exam processes and results.
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of psychometric principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science or engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in certification exam development or credentialing.
  • Knowledge of certification industry standards and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of the target domain or experience working within it.
  • Previous experience as a subject matter expert.
