Design and Develop Precision Mechanical Systems

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to own the development of precision mechanical systems, from concept to delivery. Your expertise will be essential in creating compact vacuum chambers, precise motion stages, serviceable enclosures, and safety interlocks that make our instrument fast from sample-load to image.

You will design for speed, stability, and serviceability, ensuring quick specimen exchange, accurate and repeatable motion, clean routing, and easy field-replaceable swaps. You will also develop the assembly and test playbook, drive it from prototype to pilot builds, qualify and scale suppliers, and lead system-level integration.

About the Role
  • Deliver precision electromechanical systems - scientific instruments, automation, or similar.
  • Be comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, design for manufacturability.
  • Show hands-on problem-solving skills with an eye for ergonomics and field-service.
