Job Title: Mechanical Calculation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Calculation Engineer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to take on a challenging role within our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing FE models for complex assemblies independently and performing calculations as per requirements of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • FE Modeling and Calculations: Prepare FE models for complex assemblies independently and perform calculations as per requirements of the project.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Plan and pilot calculation discipline activities and related deliverables on project considering applicable instructions/processes and other specific customer (internal or external) requirements.
  • Methodology Development: Apply calculation methodologies, processes and tools to ensure deliverables quality and their acceptance by the customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
  • Design Improvements: Suggest design improvements (reinforcement or simplifications) of calculated parts.
  • Reviews and Reporting: Prepare and document calculation discipline Reviews according to project schedule and follow-up the main open actions.
  • Progress Reporting: Report on calculation discipline activities progress and alert relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in structural mechanics with FEA tools Altair Hypermesh, Hyperview & Optistruct.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Good proficiency at using FEA tools Altair Hypermesh, Hyperview & Optistruct. Good communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer). Time management and reporting skill. Sense of urgency/priority, empowerment to say 'No'. Customer & Product Focus. Structured and organized with Hands-on approach.
