Financial Lead

This role supports operational project teams financially across the life cycle of a clinical trial. A successful candidate will have a solid understanding of financial concepts and apply them in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project teams in all financial areas related to running a clinical trial.
- Prepare monthly invoicing worksheets for client billing and revenue recognition.
- Perform variance analysis comparing forecasted revenue to actual revenue to identify gaps and changes in scope.
- Review work orders and change order budgets in comparison with actual activities to identify out-of-scope activities.
- Attend monthly project review meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in accounting or finance, or a related field, is required.
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in general ledger and financial reporting, including knowledge of the accounting cycle, project budgets, and contract review.
- Fluency in English and the local language of the country where the position is based is essential.
Competencies:
- A working knowledge of the life cycle of a project, with a solid foundation of how financials and contract status impact each stage of the clinical trial.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment are necessary.
- Excellent accounting skills and a high level of energy, with a strong commitment to exceeding expectations.
