Cloud Engineer Job Description

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and deploying fault-tolerant infrastructure in the Azure Cloud Platform. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the security, compliance, and performance of our cloud-based systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and deploying scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructures in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Developing and maintaining code using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, YAML, and ARM to automate cloud infrastructure deployments following DevOps methodologies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based systems.
  • Providing technical support to users to diagnose and resolve issues related to deployments, network connectivity, and other cloud-related problems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other equivalent field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of work experience in software development or in cloud technologies.
  • Fair understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, preferably with practical experience working in Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python and scripting languages like PowerShell/bash.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Certification: Microsoft Cloud Certification(s) - Mandatory.
