We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Solutions Architect to join our team at MPACT TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. As part of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing robust, scalable, and high-performance data solutions on the Snowflake cloud data platform.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Role

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, ETL processes, and Snowflake-specific functionalities. You should have significant expertise in Python based Data Engineering solutions and a strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their data services.

A strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts, with hands-on experience in Snowflake data warehouse is required. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git) is also necessary.

You should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design end-to-end data architecture solutions using Snowflake.
  2. Create scalable, secure, and resilient data models and data pipelines.
  3. Develop strategies for data acquisition, storage, processing, and integration within Snowflake.
  4. Implement best practices for data warehousing, including data partitioning, clustering, and indexing.
  5. Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across all datasets.
  6. Design and develop ETL/ELT workflows and processes for data ingestion into Snowflake.
  7. Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance and scalability.
  8. Design and develop workflows using Azure durable functions.
  9. Collaborate with data engineers to automate and orchestrate data pipelines.
  10. Monitor and tune Snowflake performance to ensure efficient query execution and resource utilization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and data engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data manipulation, automation, and scripting. Expertise in Azure durable functions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledgeable in performance tuning and optimization.
  • Experience with data integration tools like FiveTran.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and how they integrate with Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of API development principles and experience integrating data pipelines with external systems.
  • Proficient in written, verbal and presentation communication (English).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced: Architect).
