About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead procurement operations and contribute to the success of our business. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing purchase requests, maintaining safety stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials.

Responsibilities
  • Convert purchase requests into purchase orders according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain and update safety stock levels in the SAP system.
  • Follow up with suppliers for color submissions, documentation, and delivery.
  • Coordinate with EXIM and forwarders for on-time shipment consolidation and delivery.
  • Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to achieve RM OTIF targets.
  • Provide daily status updates on open, closed, and pending purchase orders for all vendors.
  • Handle and coordinate claims with suppliers and MQA.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt to diverse audiences and environments.
  • Resilience in the face of adversity and stress.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in garments or shoes.
  • 6-7 years of leadership experience in procurement.
  • A degree in Engineering or Master of Business.
  • Proficiency in SAP is an advantage.
  • Excellent English language skills, with proficiency in Tamil or Hindi also desirable.
