Job Description:

As a seasoned professional in data engineering, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge data strategies for clients. Your expertise in cloud-first initiatives, process optimization, and technical leadership will enable our clients to drive business growth through data-driven decision making.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy scalable data solutions, leveraging platforms like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse. Additionally, you will mentor client teams on the latest approaches and tools, ensuring they can continue to thrive after project completion.

  • Lead the development of cloud-first data strategies for critical initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership on process and technical matters
  • Design and implement modernized end-to-end data strategies for clients
  • Mentor and educate client teams on the latest approaches and tools
Requirements:
  • Hold either Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Data Engineer Associate certification
  • Have experience working in consulting or contracting capacity in large data management and modernization programs
  • Be familiar with SQL Servers, data engineering, and platforms like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Possess strong knowledge and experience with Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture
  • Have strong knowledge of securing Azure environment, including RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center
  • Be experienced with Kafka and Spark, with extensive use in production environments
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and be able to quickly identify root causes of issues
  • Possess strong knowledge of Scala or Python programming languages
  • Have experience with Linux administration and networking
  • Possess scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates
  • Understand security and corporate governance issues related to cloud-first data architecture, as well as accepted industry solutions
  • Be experienced in enabling continuous delivery for development teams using scripted cloud provisioning and automated tooling
  • Be familiar with Agile development methodology that is fit for purpose
  • Exhibit sound business judgment and demonstrated leadership
