Job Description:

The Head of Recruitment will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies that align with the company's growth plans and business objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills to guide and inspire a team of recruiters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development:
    • Talent Acquisition Strategies: Design and implement recruitment strategies that align with the company's growth plans and business objectives.
    • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with department heads and senior management to forecast hiring needs and prioritize recruitment efforts for various positions or departments.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead the Recruiting Team: Supervise and mentor a team of recruiters, ensuring they meet their hiring goals, follow best practices, and maintain high standards throughout the recruitment process.
    • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the recruiting team to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest hiring trends, tools, and techniques.
  • Talent Sourcing and Acquisition:
    • Attract Top Talent: Develop strategies to identify, attract, and engage passive and active job candidates through various channels like job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
    • Employer Branding: Promote and enhance the company's employer brand to attract top candidates, ensuring the company is viewed as an employer of choice.
  • Hiring Process Oversight:
    • Oversee Recruiting Operations: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job requisition approval to the final offer negotiation and hiring stage.
    • Ensure Efficiency: Streamline recruitment processes to make them more efficient, reducing time-to-hire while maintaining high-quality candidates.
    • Candidate Experience: Ensure candidates have a positive experience throughout the hiring process, enhancing the company's reputation in the market.
  • Collaboration with HR and Leadership Teams:
    • Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to define job requirements, develop job descriptions, and assist in interview planning.
    • Align Recruitment with Business Needs: Ensure that talent acquisition strategies align with the organization's business and growth objectives, ensuring the right talent is in place to meet business goals.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
    • Track Recruitment Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the recruitment process, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, and candidate satisfaction.
    • Data-Driven Decisions: Use analytics and data to continuously improve the recruiting process, measure success, and justify recruiting investments to senior management.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
    • Promote Diversity in Hiring: Ensure the recruitment process fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and that hiring practices are free from bias.
    • Implement DEI Initiatives: Lead initiatives to build diverse candidate pipelines and create inclusive hiring practices.
  • Vendor and External Relationship Management:
    • Manage External Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, universities, and other external partners to expand the talent pool.
    • Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate terms and conditions with third-party vendors and agencies that support the recruiting efforts.
  • Budget Management:
    • Recruitment Budget: Develop and manage the recruitment budget, ensuring the allocation of resources is efficient and cost-effective.
    • Cost-Effectiveness: Look for ways to reduce recruitment costs while ensuring the quality of the hiring process is not compromised.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire a team of recruiters.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align talent acquisition strategies with the organization's long-term goals.
  • Experience in Recruitment: Extensive experience in recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
  • Knowledge of Hiring Tools: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR software, and recruitment marketing platforms.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with candidates, hiring managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret recruiting data and metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating offers, compensation packages, and employment contracts.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law: Understanding of labor laws and compliance requirements in recruitment practices.
  • Cultural Fit and DEI Awareness: Ability to identify candidates who align with the company culture and actively promote diversity and inclusion in the hiring process.
