Visual Data Engineer

We're seeking a skilled Visual Data Engineer who is passionate about building interactive data visualizations that drive learning for millions of students and educators.

This role requires a strong foundation in front-end development, with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. Proficiency in Raphael JS and SVG for building data visualizations is also essential. Experience with accessibility standards like WCAG and ARIA is crucial for creating inclusive experiences.

  • Maintain clean, semantic, and accessible code across the front-end stack.
  • Conduct thorough accessibility testing using automated tools and manual testing.
  • Collaborate with design and UX teams to create visually engaging and fully usable tools.
  • Document accessibility practices and maintain consistent guidelines.
  • Stay updated with emerging accessibility standards and visualization best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of front-end development experience, preferably with visualization tools.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Proficiency in Raphael JS and SVG for building data visualizations.
  • Solid understanding of WCAG and ARIA standards.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
