Job Title: Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team.

  • This is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong background in organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry to contribute to the development of novel therapeutics and diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and executing synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programs;
  • Tracking SAR and optimizing potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs;
  • Purifying and structurally characterizing compounds;
  • Troubleshooting synthetic problems and optimizing reaction conditions;
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues;
  • Maintaining accurate lab records and contributing to technical reports;
  • Collaborating with analytical teams as needed;
  • Providing input on intellectual property activities.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A strong background in organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry;
  • Experience in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation;
  • Proficiency in chromatography (TLC, column, flash), spectroscopic analysis (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC), and purification techniques (recrystallization, precipitation, others);
  • Strong synthetic chemistry problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent oral and scientific/technical writing communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;
  • Commitment to lab safety and adherence to safety protocols;
  • Familiarity with reaction databases (e.g., Reaxys, SciFinder).
