Expert Collections Manager Wanted

Are you a skilled collections expert seeking a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Collections Manager to join our team.

About the Role

This is a senior role that involves overseeing all aspects of collections, including portfolio management, strategy execution, team and vendor management, compliance and reporting, and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Monitor and manage delinquency in multiple DPD (Days Past Due) and NPA (Non-Performing Asset) buckets.
    • Analyze MIS reports to identify risk trends and develop action plans.
    • Ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts to reduce roll-forwards.
  • Strategy & Execution:
    • Design and implement effective collection strategies for Personal and Business Loans.
    • Segment portfolios by risk and prioritize accounts for recovery.
    • Drive settlements, restructuring, and legal action when necessary.
  • Team & Vendor Management:
    • Supervise and train in-house collection teams and external agencies.
    • Monitor productivity and provide performance feedback.
    • Ensure all recovery practices are ethical and legally compliant.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of all collection efforts.
    • Prepare periodic reports on performance, risk flags, and recovery ratios for management.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Handle escalated or high-ticket delinquent accounts personally.
    • Engage constructively with customers to negotiate payment arrangements or settlements.
    • Maintain professionalism and empathy in all customer interactions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a collections management role, with a focus on Personal and Business Loans.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret MIS reports and other data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise and train both internal and external teams.
  • Deep understanding of ethical and legal compliance, especially with RBI guidelines.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills to handle escalated accounts and customer interactions.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed reports for management review.
