Job Overview

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll design and develop CMOS Integrated circuit designs within a team of analog/RF IC design experts. You'll work on a multichip module product team with 3-5 design engineers, interfacing with design management and module design teams to create specifications, report progress, and resolve performance and circuit design issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of CMOS Integrated circuit designs, utilizing expertise with Cadence design tools.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within a group of analog/RF IC design experts, assigned to a multichip module product team, and interface with design management and module design teams.
  • Problem Resolution: Collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Expertise with Cadence design tools, including schematic capture, simulators, and layout.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to organize information and present results clearly.
  • Advanced knowledge of analog designs, feedback systems, poles and zeroes, loop dynamics, and basic digital logic.
  • Basic knowledge of MOS and bipolar device physics, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and system modeling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills, with familiarity in co-design of analog and digital circuits, trim circuits, ADC/DAC.
  • Good judgment in solving a broad range of issues based on educational background and/or industry experience.
