As a seasoned engineering leader, you will drive the development and upkeep of our award-winning Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. This role is responsible for scaling and building the next generation of platform and services/products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Hire and develop top talent while creating a solid engineering organization that thrives on execution, innovation, and learning.
  • Deliver products that exceed customer expectations while maintaining the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt.
  • Champion the culture, processes, and tools necessary to maintain a seamless high-quality development environment.
  • Deeply engage with technology and evaluate, prototype, and introduce new tools, technologies, and strategies.
  • Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and work towards minimizing the cost of change curve for our software products and services.
  • Prioritize exceptional user experiences and collaborate closely with product management, engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years combined software development & management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years hands-on software development or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years managing software organizations over 25 people or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing and leading large global engineering teams in India while working closely with teams based in the US and other global locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate on v1 products - driving them from ideation to usage by millions of users in a startup-like environment.
  • You are passionate about customer experiences and will be a partner to product management/engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing direct reports that are people managers.
  • Experience with full-stack SaaS development - prior experience in Enterprise SaaS companies.
  • Experience building an integration platform and infrastructure to seamlessly integrate 1st and 3rd party applications.
  • Experience with distributed backend systems that involved REST API abstraction layers in complex enterprise environments with SOA and ROA or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience in high-scale, highly available (99.99+) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent, leaving every team and process better than found it.
