Senior Data Engineer Job Summary

As a seasoned Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale data and analytics products. This role involves close collaboration with fellow developers, architects, and product analysts to gather requirements, analyze and design solutions, and estimate user stories.

You will develop high-quality code, write unit tests, review code for defects, and collaborate with quality assurance analysts to validate your work. Additionally, you will provide third-tier support for our product suite and work with other Data and Analytics development teams to maintain consistency across products.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering and Analytics, preferably with Azure and Databricks (or Apache Sparks, Hadoop, and Hive).
  • Strong knowledge and application of technical skills such as T-SQL/PL-SQL, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks (or Apache Sparks, Hadoop, and Hive), and Power BI or equivalent Business Intelligence tools.
  • Excellent understanding of dimension modeling and Data Warehouse concepts.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Life Cycle and Scrum methodology.
  • Strong planning, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Python, PowerShell, .Net/Java programming skills.
  • Git repository experience and thorough understanding of branching and merging strategies.
