  • Design and implement server architecture to meet business needs
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers
  • Implement and manage virtualization setup using VMWare
  • Deploy and manage HA solutions or clusters on servers, databases, and hypervisors
  • Hardening of servers, storage, and related devices
  • Patch management and anti-virus deployment
  • Implementation and management of backup solutions
  • Co-ordinate with 3rd party vendors for deploying applications and solutions
  • Understanding of databases, web server technologies, and application servers

Requirements

  • Good understanding of system architecture, best practices, and components
  • Experience in managing large size computing solutions
  • Good understanding and hands-on implementation of Windows and Linux servers
  • Understanding of hardware aspects of servers and storage
  • Experience in VMWare installation, configuration, and management
  • Understanding of VLAN's, tagging, and network requirements
  • Good communication and co-ordination skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
