Job Title: Software Engineering Expert

The role of the software engineering expert is to design and build scalable, user-friendly, and high-quality web applications. You will be responsible for developing complex software applications emphasizing performance, usability, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex software applications using best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, product management, and backend engineering to develop and launch new features.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development and recommend new approaches to improve the user experience.
  • Self-direct your work and own the product, taking full responsibility for its success.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience working on complex, distributed software applications.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python and experience designing beautiful, functional experiences using React.
  • Experience with databases and database concepts like caching, query optimization, indexing, etc.
  • Comfortable building scalable platform systems and leveraging existing ones to advantage.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and public cloud infrastructure management.
  • Good documentation skills and ability to present work to peers before implementation.
  • Patience and ability to debug large codebases without frustration.
