About Us

We are looking for a qualified Forensic Medicine Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teach and mentor students in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, ensuring they receive the best education possible.
  • Conduct lectures, practical sessions, autopsy demonstrations, seminars, and tutorials to enhance student knowledge and skills.
  • Guide PhD students in dissertation work, case discussions, and journal clubs, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Integrate forensic principles with clinical and legal practice to provide a comprehensive education.
  • Stay up-to-date with NMC guidelines and update curriculum and teaching materials accordingly.
Research & Publications:
  • Undertake and guide original research projects in forensic pathology, toxicology, medical jurisprudence, and allied fields.
  • Publish research papers in reputable national and international indexed journals.
  • Collaborate with other medical and legal departments for interdisciplinary research, sharing expertise and knowledge.
  • Support PhD scholars and PG thesis work, providing valuable insights and guidance.
Clinical / Medico-Legal Work:
  • Supervise and conduct medicolegal autopsies and postmortem examinations, providing expert opinions.
  • Provide expert medico-legal opinions in criminal and civil cases, ensuring accurate and unbiased assessments.
  • Ensure proper documentation, preservation of samples, and medico-legal record maintenance, adhering to industry standards.
  • Liaise with police, judiciary, and forensic science laboratories as required, maintaining strong relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • MD (Forensic Medicine) with at least 8 years teaching experience, including 3 years as Associate Professor, plus research publications.
  • Associate Professor: MD (Forensic Medicine) with at least 5 years teaching experience, including 2 years as Assistant Professor, plus research publications.
  • Assistant Professor: MD (Forensic Medicine) with teaching/research experience as per NMC requirements; publications desirable.

  • Strong academic, clinical, and medico-legal knowledge, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teaching and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record of guiding students to success.
  • Research aptitude with publication track record, demonstrating ability to innovate and excel in research.
  • Ability to provide medico-legal expertise with accuracy and integrity, maintaining high professional standards.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with law enforcement and judiciary, building strong relationships.
