Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Assurance Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality audit services to clients, ensuring that their financial statements are accurate and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand clients' needs and expectations, including their business operations, accounting systems, and industry-specific issues.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of our audit approach, methodology, and tools.
  • Perform audit procedures and tests in accordance with our audit methodology, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
  • Identify areas of risk and accounting issues, and discuss with engagement teams to resolve any problems that arise.
  • Research technical accounting issues and develop industry expertise.
  • Prepare audit reports and management letters.
  • Exercise professional skepticism and adhere to our code of ethics while on engagements.
  • Ensure that documentation is compliant with our quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM professionals.
  • Provide supervision and development training for associates.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients.
  • Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations, including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
  • Participate in a range of projects and collaborate with multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, initiative, and timely completion of work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Semi-qualified ACCA/CPA or Qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field, specifically in the NFP industry.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
  • Strong data analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as the position requires frequent communication with international clients and US-based engagement teams.
