Customer Success Manager - APAC Role Overview

About the Job:

The primary role of a Customer Success Manager in the APAC region is to ensure seamless customer experiences navigating our comprehensive product offerings. By clearly understanding customer objectives, the CSM can align expectations, suggest additional services or product capacity to increase loyalty, alleviate pain points, and develop a tailored collaboration roadmap.

We are expanding our Customer Success team to provide thoughtful interactions across our diverse product portfolio, from Ubuntu to open-source infrastructure and applications. To deliver focused support for every customer, CSMs specialize in one of the following segments:

  • Mass: Supporting SMEs or large businesses starting their journey with us
  • Focus: Delivering targeted solutions for established companies
  • Step Growth: Focusing on high-potential customers

All CSMs contribute to enterprise-wide business support for remaining customers (Tech segment), including Store customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Onboard new customers and introduce them to our products and support processes, covering various technologies like Ubuntu Pro, MAAS, Landscape, OpenStack, Ceph, Kubernetes, and data applications
  2. Coordinate complex projects with developers, IT managers, and decision-makers across multiple industries
  3. Collaborate with Sales, Field Engineering, and Support teams to develop engagement plans that meet customer objectives
  4. Manage a portfolio of customers in the APAC region, identifying growth opportunities or renewal risks in coordination with Sales
  5. Experience running a weekly customer and business review process with cross-functional teams, prioritizing blockers, and driving resolution through internal product and engineering teams
  6. Serve as a customer advocate internally, influencing Canonical products roadmaps, documentation, processes, and people to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
  7. Support customers through reactive ticket requests
  8. Create campaigns targeting multiple customers through digital touchpoints and activities
Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will display exceptional customer-facing skills with a passion for cloud and data center infrastructure technologies.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with strong ties to IT, with exposure to projects related to Linux OS, data applications, storage, cloud computing, networking, security, migration, IoT
  • Excellent presentation skills to guide conversations about complex software
  • Experience building and improving internal processes while maintaining timely delivery to customer-related projects
  • A true team player capable of interacting with all departments and levels both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
