Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to define the current state and next-generation analytics solutions, focusing on data ingestion, modelling, and data warehouse design.
  • Data Pipeline Management: Build and maintain data pipelines, ensuring optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources using AWS technologies.
  • Analytics Support: Provide clean datasets and analytical support to product owners, business intelligence teams, and end users, facilitating informed business decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with data and analytics experts to enhance system functionality and support analytical requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research and Implementation: Investigate new technologies and best practices in software engineering, version control, automated testing, documentation, and continuous integration to improve our data stack.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance to Data Engineers and Senior Data Engineers, reviewing proposed solutions to ensure long-term supportability and adherence to best practices.
  • Data Modelling: Design strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional cubes, creating straightforward data APIs for front-end developers.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement internal process enhancements to optimize data delivery and scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in roles such as analytics engineer, data scientist, or data engineer.
  • Proven experience with cloud computing services and infrastructure in the data and analytics space (GCP experience is a plus or Azure data factory/ data bricks/ snowflake experience).
  • Hands-on development experience with frameworks such as Python, Java, and Scala.
  • Proficiency in the following technologies: Python, Google BigQuery, Google Storage, Cloud Composer, Dataflow/Airflow, Google PubSub, SQL, Ansible, Tableau APIs, Jenkins, and Shell Scripting.
