Job Title: Informatica PowerCenter/BDM Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Informatica PowerCenter/BDM Developer to join our team at Risk Resources. The ideal candidate will have 7-12 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing data integration solutions using Informatica PowerCenter or Big Data Management (BDM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica BDM.
  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and define data requirements and design data integration solutions accordingly.
  • Develop complex ETL/ELT mappings for loading and transforming large volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Optimize ETL processes for better performance and scalability, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain metadata, data models, and data flows in support of data governance and reporting requirements.
  • Provide solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading from different data sources, such as relational databases, cloud platforms, and big data technologies.
  • Perform data profiling and troubleshooting, identifying and resolving issues with data quality, transformations, and performance.
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure compliance with data architecture and governance principles.
  • Monitor ETL jobs for performance and troubleshooting failed jobs, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on performance, scalability, and best practices.
Required Skills:
  • 7-12 years of experience in data integration and ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Big Data Management (BDM).
  • Strong proficiency in ETL/ELT development and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with Informatica PowerCenter (9.x/10.x) or BDM (Big Data Edition), and ability to handle large datasets and complex data pipelines.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata.
  • Familiarity with Big Data ecosystems such as Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, and knowledge of integrating them with Informatica BDM.
  • Experience with performance tuning of Informatica mappings and workflows.
  • Understanding of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems, job scheduling, and automation tools.
  • Experience with cloud data integration solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Unix shell scripting for job automation and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
