Database Architect

We are seeking a skilled Database Architect to design and implement scalable database solutions.

  • Design and develop high-performance databases using SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Implement data migration strategies to ensure seamless transitions between servers and versions.
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure robust database security.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to databases.
  • Work with the development team to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Provide support for reporting team members with database queries and data requirements.
  • Implement row-level security and manage access permissions in Power BI.
  • Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Excellent knowledge of database administration, design, and maintenance for SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with database migrations and deployments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work during US Central time zone hours.
  • Experience working with vendor support is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Change Management processes.
  • Experience supporting reporting team members with database queries and data requirements.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Experience in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
