Our aviation team is looking for a skilled professional to design and engineer baggage handling systems.

Job Overview

This role involves supporting the planning and design of airport projects, focusing on systems that manage baggage efficiently and effectively.

  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to layout baggage handling systems, including check-in conveyors, in-line screening, sortation, makeup, and reclaim systems.
  • Analyze passenger and cargo forecasts to ensure adequate capacity and equipment sizing for BHS and cargo systems.
  • Work closely with architects and structural engineers to integrate aviation systems within terminal and apron design.
  • Develop operational concepts for baggage and cargo processes.
  • Use Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to produce and update system layouts.
  • Stay up-to-date with international standards and emerging technologies to optimize automated and semi-automated systems.

Responsibilities also include preparing technical design reports, drawings, and equipment specifications. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with BIM software and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of international standards and regulations related to baggage handling systems.
