Job Description

The Lead Software Engineering Director will be responsible for overseeing the development lifecycle of our software, from testing to monitoring and incident response. This includes managing a talented team of 8-10 software developers, helping them grow and develop further, and collaborating with product counterparts to agree on OKRs and take responsibility for delivery.



Responsibilities


  • Manage a team of software developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Oversee the full development lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of software projects and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product counterparts to establish OKRs and drive project delivery.
  • Conduct technology and resource assessments to inform project feasibility and advise on future resourcing needs.
  • Take ownership of the hiring process for software development roles.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for cross-team collaboration and software development processes.
  • Continuously raise the engineering bar, driving innovation and excellence across the team.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • 3-5 years of experience leading agile teams as a people manager.
  • A track record of successfully shipped software products.
  • A solid understanding of software engineering practices and a passion for agile methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
