About the Job

We are looking for a skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team of developers working on Android apps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java programming languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that meet our high standards for quality and performance.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.) to ensure seamless integration and efficient data exchange.
  • Write unit tests to guarantee robustness, usability, and reliability in code.
  • Focus on bug fixing and improving application performance, ensuring the best possible user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices, and implement them to maximize development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote growth and excellence within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in Android app development, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficient in Kotlin and Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, including different versions of Android and how to adapt to various screen sizes.
  • Experience with Android Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room, etc.) to build scalable and efficient apps.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries like Retrofit and Glide to connect Android apps to back-end services.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle, from planning to deployment.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate effectively.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes to streamline development and delivery.
