Senior Security Analyst Job Description

This is a senior level role in the field of security analysis. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Security Analyst.

  • The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in compliance and information security, with a strong background in technologies such as Windows, Antivirus, Data loss prevention (DLP), Firewalls, Cloud platforms, and content filtering solutions.

As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be responsible for performing duties related to compliance certifications, continuous monitoring of controls, and operational security administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing compliance guidance to business units and product teams
  2. Supporting internal and external ISO 27001/9001, SOC 2, SOC 1, and other assessments requirements
  3. Developing and maintaining security operations processes and documentation
  4. Maintaining event collection environments through health monitoring and logs from firewalls, VPNs, email protection, network analytics, access control cards systems, and CCTV
  5. Interacting with various security products and platforms, including O365, MimeCast, WorkspaceOne, Fortinet, Cloud Hosting Providers (Azure, AWS), and others
  6. Providing support for implementation and maintenance of SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection, and other security tool alerts
  7. Coordinating, tracking, and managing CEII compliance
  8. Providing technical expertise and support to IT management and staff in the implementation of security/protection technologies and network systems/applications
  9. Assisting with penetration testing and vulnerability management efforts
  10. Participating in customer audits and responding to infosec questionnaires as part of the RFP process
  11. Participating in incident management activities, including associated investigations, ticket response, communications, periodic tabletop exercises
  12. Assisting in Risk Management, Vendor Management, and governance of Information Security policies across the company
  13. Continuously improving security practices and processes to keep company and customer data safe across services and infrastructure
  14. Designing and building metrics and dashboards to track security incidents, vulnerabilities, risks, and awareness
  15. Performing continuous monitoring of controls, including but not limited to tracking and monitoring ISO and SOC 2, SOC 1, overall common control framework, gathering and reviewing evidence
  16. Vulnerability and hardening compliance scan monitoring, reporting, and reviews
  17. Driving vulnerability remediations within prescribed timeframes
  18. Inventory management and reporting
  19. Vulnerability deviation request processing, tracking, and reviews
  20. Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) updates and submissions
  21. System Security Status reporting
  22. Monthly Continuous-Monitoring Metrics reporting
  23. Compliance review of Significant change requests
