Maintenance Equipment Specialist

At our organization, we strive to deliver exceptional guest experiences. To support this goal, we seek a highly skilled Maintenance Technician I who will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our facilities and equipment.
- Respond promptly to guest repair requests and communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical room equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, or machines to identify potential issues and take corrective action before they become major problems.
- Transport equipment such as tools and radios to designated areas.
- Locate and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed to prevent stockouts and minimize downtime.
- Communicate daily activities and issues with other shifts using approved communication methods to ensure seamless continuity.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance to provide effective support.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb and A/C filter replacement to maintain a high level of aesthetic appeal.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclog drains), electrical components, lamps, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, electrical switches, outlets, and guestroom items to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures before performing maintenance work to prioritize safety.
- Repair external landscaping and sprinkler systems to maintain a visually appealing exterior.
- Develop basic computer skills, including managing air handler schedules and adjusting temperatures to enhance efficiency.
- Comply with all safety, security policies, procedures, and complete necessary safety training and certifications to guarantee a secure working environment.
- Present a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Provide warm welcomes and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation.
- Adhere to quality standards to deliver exceptional results.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond appropriately to others' concerns.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
- Perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 50 pounds or less (heavier tasks with assistance).
- Move up/down stairs, service ramps, and ladders safely.
- Reach overhead and below knees; bend, twist, pull, and stoop as needed.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers efficiently.
