Job Overview

As a senior DevOps engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support our software development lifecycle. Your expertise in automation, configuration management, and containerization will help us streamline our build and deploy processes, ensuring high-quality releases and rapid time-to-market.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and translate them into actionable deliverables for CI/CD strategy development.
  • Provide thought leadership on SDLC and CI best practices, driving enterprise-wide adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance developer experience by simplifying existing build and code promotion processes, leveraging expertise in automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and others.
  • Review and optimize existing infrastructure, identifying gaps and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Design, implement, and test software solutions to enhance build and deploy pipelines across various platforms, including on-premise bare metal, virtualized environments, and containerized ecosystems.
  • Develop standards and guidelines for deployments, creating reusable interfaces for developers and consumers alike.
  • Define configuration management strategies, ensuring consistency and reliability across the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, applying models of continuous improvement to drive innovation in CI/CD.
  • Lead technical specifications development for new microservices and APIs, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Communicate ideas and strategies concisely, influencing teams and individuals to drive change and growth.

Requirements:

We are seeking an exceptional individual with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in CI/CD toolchains, with expertise in one or more standard tools, such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Puppet, and others.
  • Hands-on experience with planning, building, and running complete CI pipelines on native/virtualized infrastructure.
  • Expertise in build and assembly technologies like Gradle, Maven, Conan, MSBuild, and similar.
  • Experience with distributed and parallel build and test environments.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, CI, agile, and lean philosophies.
  • Experience with code promotion and lifecycle management.
  • Extensive experience providing architectural direction to project development teams.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go Lang, Java, .NET, C++, C#, or similar.
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Linux and/or Windows administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies and orchestration, including Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Tanzu, OpenShift, and similar.
  • Experience creating, testing, and using APIs.
