Senior Oracle Developer Position in Amazon FinTech Payments

Amazon's Finance Technology (FinTech) organization is seeking an experienced Oracle Applications Developer to join its dynamic team. As a key member of the FinTech Payments team, you will drive architectural and design choices, invent new features, optimize programs, and build scalable solutions in Oracle EBS R12 and other ERP applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and extend applications using Oracle e-business suite and open-source technologies.
- Develop technical specifications, configure standard applications, modify forms and reports, and create new interfaces within the e-business suite.
- Provide end-user support for multiple applications across various geographies and oversee junior developers.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address high-priority production issues outside regular business hours.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field with two years of experience in the job offered or as a Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or Developer.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and two years of experience.
- One year of experience must involve developing solutions for Oracle's e-business suite, using tools like SQL, PLSQL, reports, forms, BI publisher, Workflow Build, and JDeveloper;
- Experience with at least one e-business suite application: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, iProcurement, iExpense, General Ledger, Inventory, or Fixed Assets; and engaging Oracle Support to research and resolve issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional programming skills such as Perl or Java.
- Strong functional knowledge of the Oracle e-Business suite in a multiple organization and multiple set of books environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively across technical and functional lines, and possess root cause analysis and complex problem-solving skills.
