Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

  • Fundamental knowledge of routing protocols, firewalls and NIPS is essential.
  • A minimum 10-12 years of experience in network security with at least 5 years in Fortinet/Cisco Firewalls and IPS is required.
  • Prior expertise in managing Firewall and NIPS solutions along with their integration with authentication/authorization tools (email, AD, IAM, SIEM) is necessary.
  • Proficiency in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments is expected.
  • Hands-on experience in commissioning and implementing various Firewall and NIPS solutions including management and authentication/authorization tools.
  • Effective policy and exception management is crucial.
  • Packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting skills are essential for resolving issues.
  • Product knowledge of firewalls, NIPS, SSL, dual-factor authentication, and more is required.
  • Incident, problem, service request, change, configuration, capacity, and backup management responsibilities are part of this role.
  • Performing day-to-day BAU configuration changes is mandatory.
  • Proactive monitoring of networks to prevent service degradation using network monitoring tools is essential.
  • Supporting incident monitoring, analysis, and response initiatives is critical.
  • Collaboration with users to resolve trouble tickets promptly and satisfactorily is a key responsibility.
  • Troubleshooting layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model.
  • Applying security patches as required.
  • Daily performance checks on devices, periodic audits, and compliance reviews are mandatory.
  • Immediate response to network outages reported by users, sensors, and/or operational personnel is necessary.
  • Developing and maintaining network security policies, standards, and procedures is an ongoing responsibility.
  • Maintaining access lists and firewall policies.
  • Oversight of service levels and management of day-to-day configuration, administration, and monitoring of the network security infrastructure.
  • Coordination with OEMs for TAC support, RMA, replacement, and reconfiguration of faulty Firewalls/NIPS.
  • Creating technical documentation, as-built network diagrams, inventory control documentation, and security documentation.
  • Investigating, isolating, and resolving Firewall and NIPS incidents with RCA.
  • Collaboration with helpdesk teams, IT support teams, and application support teams for jointly troubleshooting and fixing high-priority/severity incidents.
  • Design and implementation of Firewall, Site-to-Site VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions for DC, DR, Cloud, and Branch office environments.
  • Development and updating of knowledge bases in ITSM tools.
  • Identification of areas for automation and improvement of operational efficiency.
  • Automation and integration of tools with REST API/SDK and security dashboards, InfoSec tools (AD, IDAM, PAM, SIEM, SOAR, etc.).
  • Patch updates and upgrades for Firewalls and NIPS based on compliance and audit requirements.
  • Closure of compliance and audit points within agreed timelines.
