About the Role:

Summit Consulting Services is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Architect Lead to shape the future of our cloud-first network architecture. This senior leadership position involves driving innovation, ensuring high availability, and building scalable, resilient network infrastructures that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop cloud-native and on-premise network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and software-defined networking solutions.
  • Lead End-to-End Responsibility for network infrastructure performance, security, and reliability, driving continuous improvement and scalability to meet future growth.
  • Drive Strategic Network Automation Initiatives, leveraging advanced scripting and automation frameworks to deliver efficiency, consistency, and reduce operational burdens.
  • Collaborate at Executive Level with cross-functional teams and external partners, providing technical leadership and ensuring seamless integration of network technologies across platforms and business units.
  • Mentor and Develop Senior Network Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation in network design and operations.
  • Lead Network Observability Efforts, designing advanced telemetry systems and leveraging ELK stacks and other observability platforms to provide real-time insight into end-to-end network performance.
  • Oversee Compliance with regulatory and security standards, such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2, across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Serve as Key Project Leader, owning the delivery of high-profile network projects and ensuring their successful completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Develop High-Quality Network Documentation, including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in senior or staff-level network engineering roles with hands-on responsibility for multi-site, cloud-native networks.
  • Demonstrated mastery of advanced networking protocols in globally scaling, high-availability environments.
  • Expertise in cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure) and experience designing network architectures in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
  • Proven experience in network automation and CI/CD integration using scripting languages and automation tools.
  • Leadership experience in driving network transformation initiatives and mentoring engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
