Cloud Migration Expert

We are seeking a skilled cloud migration expert to join our team and lead the effort of migrating our existing applications to cloud infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who can design, develop, and implement a robust lift and shift agent that will enable seamless migration of our applications to the cloud.

This role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms, software development principles, and Agile methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility with various operating systems, programming languages, and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and a strong background in migrating applications to the cloud. Familiarity with Gin, Revel, and Beego frameworks, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, is highly desirable.

In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test a lift and shift agent that will migrate our existing applications to cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility with various operating systems, programming languages, and cloud platforms.
  • Develop a high-quality, efficient, and scalable codebase for the lift and shift agent.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues in the lift and shift agent.
  • Ensure the lift and shift agent is secure and complies with all relevant security policies and standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the lift and shift agent.

Requirements:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with migrating applications to the cloud.
  • Familiarity with Gin, Revel, and Beego frameworks.
  • Experience with using Go on UNIX and Linux Platforms.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles such as software design, coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Skills:

  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects in Go lang or Linux scripting.
