As a seasoned expert, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and support of our Google Cloud Platform environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GCP administration and support, with hands-on experience with various GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Networking, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, GKE, and Pub/Sub.
- Manage and monitor system health, performance, and availability using GCP monitoring tools like Stackdriver and Cloud Logging.
- Administer user access and security policies via IAM and service accounts.
- Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for GCP services.
- Deploy, configure, and manage networking within GCP, including VPC, VPN, Interconnect, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
- Automate operational tasks using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions on GCP.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for application deployment and integration.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Strong experience in GCP administration and support.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Windows system administration.
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell) for automation.
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPC peering).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Stackdriver/Cloud Monitoring).
- Knowledge of Cloud Security best practices, IAM, and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
