Business Development Manager

The Cluster Sales and Business Development Manager role at Axis Bank is a key position that drives business growth through a set of retail forex and remittances branches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new business within and outside the Bank and maximizing the profitability of existing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and branch teams.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve throughput and income targets for forex cards, outward remittances, and inward remittances.
- Engage with segment Relationship Managers (RMs) to activate business growth initiatives.
- Directly manage and convert high net worth (HNW) customers for forex business.
- Maintain quality sourcing through branches and external linkages.
Qualifications:
The optimal qualification for success in this role is:
- Graduate with less than 10 years of experience or MBA with minimum 3 years' experience.
Role Proficiencies:
For successful execution, the candidate should possess the following:
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills in English and the local language.
- Excellent lead generation and conversion skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
- High sales orientation to meet sales targets consistently.
- Good presentation skills and high standards of integrity, market and competition knowledge.
