Database Architect and Administrator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Database Architect and Administrator to join our team. As a key member of the database team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust database architectures using MS SQL and Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable and secure database systems using MS SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Lead database modernization projects, including on-premises to cloud migrations.
  • Oversee database performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability solutions.
  • Establish and enforce database standards, security policies, backup and recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database systems meet business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on best practices in SQL/PLSQL/T-SQL development, indexing, partitioning, and data modeling.
  • Conduct database health checks, audits, and troubleshoot critical issues across MS SQL Server and Oracle platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools aligned with business objectives.
  • Mentor junior DBAs and developers in database best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a DBA with strong hands-on experience in MS SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Solid experience in database architecture, clustering, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficient in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting for automation.
  • Experience with cloud-based databases and database management systems.
  • Strong understanding of data security, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale database systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
  • Oracle Certified Professional.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
